Leaf Spring Induction Heating Equipment for Steel Plate Ferrosilicon is an essential metallurgical ferroalloy produced by smelting quartz, coke and steel scrap in submerged arc furnace, mainly composed of silicon and iron. FeSi75 is the most widely used grade across steel plants, foundries and non-ferrous metal smelting industries.
Silicon features strong affinity with oxygen, making ferrosilicon an efficient deoxidizer to eliminate oxygen in molten steel, reduce blowholes and inclusions, and improve finished steel mechanical performance. In foundry industry, ferrosilicon works as inoculant to refine graphite structure of gray iron and ductile iron, avoid chill defects, boost casting strength and machinability. It also acts as powerful reducing agent for magnesium smelting and other ferroalloy manufacturing.

Ferrosilicon is mainly used as deoxidizer, and the steel produced is of good quality.
